Data-Mining the main HoT patch
A large part of the expansion has already been streamed to our clients but an even larger part has not (or is still encrypted). This means there will be thousands upon thousands of new chat codes, models, textures, strings, etc etc. In short it's insane to go through all of these just after release.- There will be small tidbits on twitter and data-mining specific posts on reddit but spoilers will be kept to a minimum.
- Everything wardrobe and item related will most likely get an automated post
- If I do find unused content in this patch far after release I'll write about it later
Historical Guide to Tyria
One of the top priority projects for me is updating the Historical Guide to Tyria. It will be updated in two steps:- Update the base map (during or shortly after launch)
- Tweak all locations (after I've thoroughly explored the maps)
World Boss Timer 2.0
It has already been confirmed by the devs there will be new world bosses so we're currently revamping the world boss timer on dulfy.net in preparation. There will be several new features, it will be less resource intensive and we're aiming to launch it a few days before or after the release of HoT.Specialization Calculator 2.0
Just like the world boss timer the specialization calculator will get a revamp. The new version will use Guild Wars 2's API so it's going to be more detailed and up to date all the time. Expect a release somewhere shortly after HoT.Interludes
These started out as a something silly to fill the gap between content releases... and as you might have guessed we didn't get much content ever since I started doing these (apart from Lion's Arch). After one more video Shaman will take a hard earned vacation from dancing and will return somewhere next year.Other stuff
- Regular data mining posts will not change at all.
- I can't predict when (or if) there will be data-mining videos.
- There will be a post about the recent outrage about data-miners spoiling "everything", I held this one off because I can not respond to it properly without including some spoilers as examples.
